shared nonpublic personal information, except as required by law, and we will
continue to protect your privacy.
Information We Collect
As a trusted financial institution, we collect, retain and use nonpublic,
personal information about customers, as allowed by law, to provide products
and services, to safeguard deposits, and to ensure the quality of our loan
portfolio. We may collect nonpublic, personal information about you from some
or all of the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on
applications or other forms, such as your name, address, social security
number, assets, and income;

our affiliates, or others such as your account balance, payment history,
parties to transactions, and credit card usage; and,
- Information we receive from a consumer
reporting agency, such as your creditworthiness and credit history.
Who Receives Information and Why
We do not disclose any nonpublic, personal information about our customers and
former customers to anyone, except as permitted or required by law. We may
exchange such information, as described above, to companies that perform
marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom
we have joint marketing agreements, with certain nonaffiliated providers of
data and transactional processing services (under limited circumstances) to
service your account, or provide reports to credit bureaus. Such exchanges of
nonpublic personal information are allowed by law.
Service Providers/Joint Marketing Partners
While we presently do not do so, we may disclose information we collect to
companies that perform services on our behalf or to other financial
institutions under joint marketing agreements for products or services. If we
change our policy to share nonpublic customer information with affiliated or
nonaffiliated third parties, we will notify you in advance and provide you
with a reasonable amount of time to prohibit us from doing so (to "opt out").
You will always have the right to opt out at any time. If we do provide
customer information to a third party, we will insist – through written
agreements – that the third party adheres to privacy principles similar to
those of Hopewell Valley Community Bank.
